Individual Counseling This type of therapy offers sessions tailored to your specific needs. Beverly Grant utilizes evidence-based techniques to help you overcome anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and other mental health issues. Beverly works with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses your unique concerns, and provides you with the tools and strategies you need to cope with life challenges.

COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL
THERAPY

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy This is an individualized type of therapy. It explores the connection between the mental/emotional thought process and physical behavior. Individuals learn and familiarize themselves with how their thinking ultimately affects their behavior. This type of therapy utilizes dialogue and conversation including topics such as: Core beliefs; Views of the world/society; impact of education on personal views/ideology; and Distortions of the thought process.

DIALECTIC BEHAVIORAL
THERAPY

Dialectic Behavioral Therapy This is a skill-based therapy that can applied in a formal or informal structure. This therapy assists individuals in acquiring the skills in the areas of: Mindfulness; Distress Tolerance; Emotional Regulation; and Interpersonal Effectiveness. This type of therapy involves discussing and moving through various skill sets. Do you have emotions that can be overwhelming at times?...This may be an option for you.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing This is a type of therapy that utilizes eye movements, beeps and/or taps with a ‘back and forth’ or bilateral stimulation of the brain. This type of therapy is used while the person is thinking about a specific traumatic internal memory. The goal with this type of therapy is to reduce the intensity of specific triggers connected to a traumatic event affecting an individual’s mental/emotional state. This type of therapy views traumatic memories as sometimes becoming ‘stuck’ within our information-processing system of the brain, including the emotional and physical sensations/symptoms experienced during the traumatic event.
